[Dream Gate] [Poet Glas]

Blue

Blue is poison:
Choking chlorine taste of stinging death;
Burning background of a seething sun;
Dark velvet backdrop to the bleached-bone moon.

Melody is a traitor,
Betraying souls with borrowed hope
And falsely bringing order
Where chaos sits in happy court.

Loneliness is a blanket
As gentle as the chilling snow,
Sparkling beneath the wintry skies
And freezing care in loving embrace.

Fear is a taste
Of sunlight where there should be none;
A catch in breath or turn of heart
To think that hope may come... or not.
