[Dream Gate] [Poet Glas]

Warm in Cold (for Kenndra)

Beautiful lady, I wish that I could show
to you how much you've brought into my life.
And though I tell you, you may never know
How much you've blessed my world as mate and wife.

My thoughts of you keep me warm and glad
as my journeys carry me about.
I fear that sometimes I can make you sad;
I fear my clumsiness makes me a lout.

No perfect man am I to grace your home -
A worthless poet of quick but wandering wit.
But I shall love you always as I roam,
returning always to where our love has lit.

I thank you, Kenndra, for your love of me
And hope your goodness you will someday see.
