[Dream Gate] [Poet Glas]

Under the Gaze of Signal Mountain

Bright sun on Signal Mountain, blue-framed
By the crystalline vault of the azure sky.
Ancient secrets lurk in hills once named
A 'Dark and Bloody Ground' in days gone by.
Not for me today these ancient tales
Of greed and hope and long past heroes' deed -
Today is day enough for me; it fails
To bother me that here is epic's seed.
A wanderer of sorts, I may not be
Acceptable to some, like part-time bard
My place the kitchen once I've sang my glee -
But that's enough. Though sad, I won't be scarred.
And so this day is one of rest beneath the clear
And lovely sky, to dwell on what is dear.
