Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) The SCA is a medieval re-enactment group in which I first became interested in 1980 (AS XIII) when we tried to form a shire in Abilene, Texas. I became active in 1983 in the Kingdom of Ansteorra's shire of Middleford (Ft. Hood, Texas); I now live in the Kingdom of Meridies. I particularly like aspects of 9th century Scotland and the 16th century British Isles, and I tend to enjoy poetry, talecraft, and court or field heraldry. I haven't fought much on the rattan or rapier lists since the early 1990s.

THL Glas de Carraig My name in the Society is the Honorable Lord Glas de Carraig (THL Glas). It's prefaced with "Honored Lord" or "The Honorable Lord" because I hold an award called a Grant of Arms (GoA). My arms are "Vert, two krakens inverted in pile Or," and my badge is "A kraken bendwise inverted Or."
