Eshana was friend to many of the Shipwrecked, and perhaps one of the few who was listened to equally by both Easterners and Westerners. A Vireni and Priestess of Greymeir, she offered advice and direction, and gave freely of her natural healing to all who needed it. Though sometimes overwhelmed by events on the island, she strove always for what she believed had to be done, and laughed and loved and grieved with abandon, living life to the fullest.

Her death came unexpectedly, a shock that many have not quite accepted yet.

She was slain in battle when the Shipwrecked entered Kusaru's Vale to put an end to the Demon of Laisha. Its minions dragged her behind the Spider's Gate after she had died, and the God Morbeth proclaimed that she was gone for good.

What requiem could be an adequate hymn for her life, or come close to expressing how her death has left some of the Shipwrecked aching in grief? In many ways, she is the first true casualty of the Shipwrecked, and while some seek to cling to hope that she may yet be saved, many others struggled to accept that she is lost and only memories of her will remain, should her spirit escape the Spider's grasp.
