They are the Shipwrecked. Survivors of eleven ships caught in a deadly storm, only they escaped the sea's wrath to be washed ashore on this desolate island.

They have found themselves trapped on this island, with no means of escape, and no answers to their questions. Some of them were once enemies, and old hatreds are not easy to part with. Different cultures and vastly different beliefs separate them. But to survive on this island, they must work together. Stand together, against the evil that threatens them.

Eleven ships were destroyed upon the reefs by the Storm, from four different corners of the world:

The Light That Breaks Through The Storm came from the Dragon Isles, bearing the Garandi over the seas.

The merchantship Icefall came from the shores of Alheim, carrying those from Alfheim and the Feydakin lands.

While the Falcon's Wing carried the Ruzicians and an ambassador from the Desert Clans from the Empire's shores.

The former pirate sloop, The Scarlet Princess, bore the Gwynned on their journey.

The embassy ship, Sparrowhawk, came from Alfheim almost a year after the first Shipwrecked landed, only to suffer the same fate.

The Silver Moon set sail but a half-year after the Sparrowhawk, only to be caught by the storm.

The embassy vessel, The Sea Lance, was returning from the negotiations on Dragon Isle in early 2002, bearing representatives of the Western lands, when it was taken by the Storm.

A year and a half after the first Garandi were Shipwrecked upon this island, Midori was swept from the Garandi Clan Water vessel, The Mountain Beneath The Sea, to wash upon the island's shore.

The Garandi ship, The Sword of the Master, was also returning from the negotiations called by the Sokuze on Dragon Isle when it, too, was taken by the storm, nearly two years after the first Shipwrecked arrived.

Beginning about two years after the first Shipwrecked landed, other arrivals came to the island, one by magic through a Gate, and others by ship.

In Early 2003, Kio Sake found his fate unexpectedly thrown in with the other Garandi and Shipwrecked, when he stumbled upon them after becoming lost in the Place Between Worlds.

Late in 2002, the Chiteng vessel, the Gauntlet, was taken by the Storm while on mission and crashed upon the island.

In early 2004, the Clan Fire ship, The Fire That Breaks The Dawn, was taken by the storm, crashing Tanaka Keiko upon the Island.
