Takura was the Commander of the Clan of Death here on the island. At heart a philosopher and scholar, he was often unsure of his command, though he strove for strength and honor and struggled against his weaknesses. Many considered him insane, given his mood swings and tendacy to make use of whatever was available to him or make agreements the other Garandi frowned at. He was, in fact, when the mood was upon him, heard to comment that sanity was a prison.

Regardless, he had a strong sense of duty and loyalty to his Clan, and it was to save Shuyoshi's life from the Dark God

that Takura uttered the words that would ultimately prove his undoing; for intending only to offer his life for Shuyoshi's, Talos took Takura's oath quite literally and claimed Takura as his own.

However it happened in the end, Takura eventually succumbed to the Dark God. And when the other Garandi discovered he was a Priest, he was taken and sentenced. Demanding honor combat, and granted the right by Shuyoshi, he was slain in the duel which ensued. But his Spirit was returned, lest the Spider claim him fully, and sought purity and amends for his wrongs. The Garandi eventually ritually Purified him, and sent him to Renshi to be judged for his crimes.
