The
Serpent Tribes were once followers of Spider,
but within the last generation broke away from the Spider Tribes to follow
Serpent and take up a different lifestyle. They have renounced the violent
ways of the Dark God, and urge the Shipwrecked to put aside their anger and
violence as well.
They have been friendly to those within the Fort, and have sold food to the newly Shipwrecked. They have also traded other needed goods, such elixirs and ritual components. They certainly have taken an interest in the newcomers, but so far their dealings have been peaceful.
One
of the Shipwrecked, Kevan, has left the Stockade to live among the Serpent
Tribes, and acts in same case as a mediator between the Serpent Tribes and
the "Shipwrecked Tribe," as the Serpent have come to call those
in the Stockade.
The
Serpent will not make war on the Spider Tribes, even having made a truce with
them, but some of the Serpent have pledged to aid the Shipwrecked in their
struggles against the Serpent, by providing information and leading those
who would strike against the Spider to where dark rituals are being performed.
Still,
little is known of their ways and of their religion, the worship of this Serpent,
and some of the Shipwrecked are wary of them.
