The
Noble Estates of the Goblin Court are many and varied... and
not at all what one may expect, so be careful in your dealings with them.
The Goblin Court is the aristocracy of the Goblin Realm, most - though not all - of the Nobles being Goblins themselves. They preside over certain aspects of the Realm, and while they serve the Goblin King, they constantly jockey amongst themselves, sometimes even going to war.
When
the Shipwrecked attended the Goblin Ball, most of them became members of one
of the Estates, and were thus brought into the affairs of the Goblin Court,
going so far even as to participate in a war on their Lords and Ladies behalf,
to win standing for their Estate. In that war, the Estate of Heart's Regret
won.
The Lords and Ladies of the Goblin Court still visit their allies among the Shipwrecked, and have often given aid. Whether they truly wish to aid the endeavours of the Shipwrecked, or whether their plight is considered but a game to the Court, has yet to be determined.
