Vereth, as he calls himself now, is the Goblin King, ruler - of a sorts - over the Goblins and other denizens of that realm. Aligned with the Moon, and Cursed in some fashion by the Sun, he is unable to walk in the sunlight without great pain and eventual death. A true Elf, immortal, he is the last of his kind, save for the Dark Elves who turned to the Dark God so long ago. Much about Vereth is shrouded in mystery, no doubt to his liking. Though willing to answer questions put forth to him, there is always a riddle or some sense of misdirection in the answers he gives. |

He has aided the Shipwrecked innumerable times, from providing information to removing curses, to working with Greymeir and Morbeth to create the Death Dream, in which several Demons were destroyed, and then again with Kaolan, to create the Life Dream to strengthen the spirits of many of the Shipwrecked. The Yama hates Vereth with a passion, for a misdeed done so long ago - though neither the Goblin King or the Yama are very forthcoming in the specifics of that deed. When the Goblin King is about, there is little that will quell the Yama's rage, and so Vereth is often absent now that the Sword resides among the Shipwrecked. Indeed, Vereth was almost destroyed utterly by the Sword, in a scheme plotted by Bartleby that brought the Yama to the Island. It was only through the efforts of the Shipwrecked that the Goblin King was rescued from the Spaces Between the Worlds. What his involvement in the final days of the Shipwrecked may be, is yet unclear... and it may be that no true answers are ever learned of this most enigmatic of persons. Website created by Michelle
